  • The next exhibition after that is our Autumn Exhibition in "Thie Ellyn" on October 26th27th28th. We hope you have enjoyed the summer programme where the opportunities for painting outdoors have been helped/thwarted by murk, mist and wind. Despite all problems,we hope that you will have some work ready.

The Summer Painting Week

Nineteen members enjoyed our weeks painting course in July with Graham Hill. We learnt a lot about drawing and painting exercises and techniques, to say nothing of abstracting. However, the standing joke was the lack of the promised forecast of sunshine!!

The group wanted another opportunity to try collage and so decided to hold a "Tearaway" evening on August 6th at 7pm in Thie Ellyn. Just bring old colour magazines, PVA glue, brush and some paper. You are all welcome to come along for a fun night.

Congratulations and our stamp of approval

All of the IoM Christmas stamps this year have been designed by Anthea Radcliffe. The theme is Christmas entertainment and includes the circus, the Christmas-tree fairy and lots more.

Cathy Galbraith is one of the winners of the IoM Post competition having her photograph of "Niarbyl Cottages with Poppies" made into a 27p stamp.
